Polar Bears 'Splashing' in Ungava Bay, Nunavik

This fantastic photo of polar bears emerging from an icy swim along the seacoast was taken in August 2016 by Trip Leader / Photographer Mariela Urra Schiaffino during our 'Polar Bears, Muskox, Icebergs & Seals' wildilfe expedition in Ungava Bay Nunavik. Compared to many of the big commercial polar bear trips available out there, this is an altogether new, little-explored and photographed polar bear region that offers a completely new experience. Rather than large groups of people in big ATV's and other machines, instead we quietly travel in small groups on the water along with the Inuit people who live here year-round. We gently visit the polar bears and other wildlife in their totally natural habitat and environment... It's the real deal! During our inaugural season operating this new expedition in 2016 we had 100% success with polar bears and musk-ox sightings by all clients! See www.thelon.com/polar.htm.
